For Kevin, an interest in Earth science began at an early age. Growing up on the fall line in South Carolina, species of Turritella in the front yard and angiosperm impressions in kaolin began a long association in paleontology extending to the present. While professional interests were diverted after discovering geophysics, he still collects and enjoys sites over the Southeast and wherever travels may go. As a working seismologist and geophysicist, Kevin works on local, regional, and global problems as an industry contractor.
